Eberhard Weber, well known from Gary Burton´s band, had his breakthrough as a leader in Berlin 1974. In 1973 he made his first record as a leader, The Colours of Chloë, for ECM Records. Since then he has released 10 more records under his own name, all on ECM. As of June 2007, reports have surfaced that Weber has suffered a stroke and is currently unable to perform.

What an unexpected treat. I saw the Weber/Mariano "Colours" band at the Bottom Line when "Silent Feet" came out (they opened for Gary Burton's "Passengers" band, which meant that Weber was featured in both), and it was thrilling. So to hear this version of "Seriously Deep" with the brass ensemble is a joy. Many thanks!
