Bootlegging bootlegs...

I´m quite annoyed about an entry I discovered yesterday. Obviously there are some (one?) guys downloading concerts from this blog and reposting it on their owns. I don´t care about that, I´m not the owner of this concerts, just created the mp3s by recording my old MCs and MDs to my hard drive. But this very guy complains in his blog about others, who "stole" the concerts from his blog without saying thank you.
I´m really concerned about the fact, that this other guy asks repeatedly for "donations" to "maintain his expensive rapidshare premium account", in other words he tries to make money out of the files you can download here for free. (And if you have any doubts about the source of these files, just compare the pub dates of the posts...).
Let me point it clearly: None of the concerts of this blog was downloaded somewhere else and reposted here. Of course, there are some concerts here that you can find in other blogs, too. That´s because we drew from the same sources by listening to and recording the same radio/ tv stations.

This blog is a complete non profit blog, I´m just a devoted jazz fan.
Enjoy the music and keep on grooving

UPDATE

P.S. If you want to make a donation, feel free to do so, e.g. for the National Marrow Donor Program or for the Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei DKMS (German Bone Marrow Donor Center), fight leucemia!

Splashgirl live at Punktfestival Kristiansand 2008

Splashgirl:
Andreas Stensland Løwe - Piano
Jo Berger Myhre - Bass
Andreas Lønmo Knudsrød - Drums
special guest:
Anders Hofstad Soras - Pedal Steel Guitar

recorded live at Punktfestival Kristiansand/Norway, September 6, 2008

Tracklist:
1. Cagepop
2. Headpiece
3. Jacob
4. Three Weeks In A Box
5. 4 is 3 is 2 are 1
6. Postludium I
7. Postludium II

"Splashgirl" are a really great Norwegian Jazz Trio with a great sense for repetitive patterns á la Steve Reich and an affinity for exploring smallest melodies somewhere between Brian Eno, Erik Satie and Morton Feldman. John Kelman wrote on www.allaboutjazz.com about this concert:

"Splashgirl was an exciting discovery and one of Punkt 08's best shows, ranking as the surprise of the year— and not just at the festival.

Featuring pianist Andreas Stensland Lowe, drummer Andreas Lonmo Knudsrod and bassist Jo Berger Myhre, the group was the ideal example of the remarkable maturity and creativity coming out of young Norwegian groups. With a sound that blended spare, near-ambient textures with majestic yet understated neoclassicism and outer-reaching but always captivating free improvisations, Splashgirl is a group that deserves a wider audience and, if it can get some proper exposure, no doubt will."
