Bogard! I gotta tellyou just came from the Jazz Standard's last night of the weeklong Branford Marsalis stand there, and Jeff Tain Watt's replacement is an 18 year old named Justin Faulkner. Talk about the sound and the fury- yet with some significance indeed! please put out the feelers for some work by these guys, in Europe now. You've got to hear Joey Calderazzo duke it out with the beastly young'un- the rest of the folks just sat back with the 'just let them go, can't do anything about it" attitude. Sorry to rant here but it is not to be missed...PS Im saving for a good pcm recorder, not enough yet AAGH last night was a missed opp!
